Topkapi Palace in Istanbul is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has long served as the Ottoman Empire’s political and symbolic center. My theme is glorified cannon gate, and its library is a major inspiration for me both has a connection to one another. The palace’s appearance and interior had a big impact on me the motifs on the walls and ceiling, as well as the wall hangings and book collection in the library (the Palace’s major treasure), are magnificent. I based my theme inspiration and made a collection which is a mixture of Turkish cultural heritage motif, taking into consideration its use in digital marketing in relation to fashion using calligraphy and embroidery techniques.
