Statement:
My research aims to explore the calligraphy motifs in textile design. In our contemporary changing modern world order, I have taken inspiration of my work from khat-e-dewani style of calligraphy. I have used the Urdu alphabets in my motifs as design. I have changed the concept of calligraphy through my work. my concept is based on calligraphy it is just a design it does not relate to Quranic verses. That’s why my target market audience is who belongs to elite to high class society of Pakistan. The people belongs to low or middle class society they cannot understand that calligraphy can be a design they perceive calligraphy as the quranic verse. I have introduced my work to those people who don’t know about calligraphy motifs in textile design.
