Statement:

A mother’s memories, a daughter treasure. Sandook, that one old rustic box, lying in the stores, lost and forgotten has always had a lot to give. Every time I opened it I receive something new yet old, not glittering yet gold. Everything I would pick Mvama would tell me a story of how she got it. Everything in it has a story of her teenage charms or her wedding trousseau, her travel tales or the festive ensemble, that one box beheld it all. Visiting  Sandook was always fun. I would want some things just the way they were and some tweaked with a splash of my own style. Of all that her sandook gave me it brought me closer to her. Bonding me to the roots of our culture . Sandook is the thing which gives me goose bumps and it really connects to my heart. Just like her love, Maa ka Sandook has infinite depths. The more you explore the more you get. Everything that comes out has a story to tell, a memory to revive. Sandook stories amalgamates a mother’s love and a daughter’s curiosity to bring to you all such treasures in a new look.
