Statement:
Jamil Naqsh was raised in a household where artists, authors, poets, would often congregate, and he developed a strong sense of community. As the years passed, he began to gravitate toward his four favorite subjects: the prajna paramita, horses, nudes, and pigeons. Jamil Naqsh and Najmi Sura, his detailing with line and texture, his arrangement and shapes, and his treatment of his topic, are all done as one would a miniature. Jamil Naqsh considers painting to be a way of life. He is a master of texture, light, and space, which he uses as the backdrop for his distinctively painted figurative works of art. The viewer’s experience of an artwork is enhanced as a result of this highly intimate process. The majority of abstract painters have the capacity to draw a flawlessly drawn rose or a realistic portrait with great accuracy. I’d want to experiment with various kinds of grids and pieces of Jamil Naqsh’s work, On the other side, I want to investigate Piet Mondrian’s ideas, such as showcasing nepotism and spiritual aspirations, in more depth.
